Ryan Shea Swancy is an attorney with the law firm of Gaston, Marion, Stubbs, Hunter & Swancy P.A. in Chester, South Carolina. Mr. Swancy maintains a general practice with an emphasis on personal injury, criminal defense, and other civil litigation matters throughout the state of South Carolina. Mr. Swancy maintains a strong presence within the community, both on a state and local level. He is the current 6th Circuit Young Lawyers Division Representative for the South Carolina Bar as well as a member of the Chester County ECHO Coalition, Chester County Rotary, and Chester County Ducks Unlimited.

Originally from the Charlotte area, Mr. Swancy completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After college he attended the University of South Carolina School of Law where he was a member of the editorial board for the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business. Following law school, Mr. Swancy clerked for the Honorable Judge Brian Gibbons of the 6th Judicial Circuit. Prior to joining Gaston, Marion, Stubbs, Hunter & Swancy P.A., Mr. Swancy served as an Assistant solicitor for the Chester County Solicitor’s Office prosecuting a wide range of crimes including misdemeanors and felonies.

Mr. Swancy is married to Katherine Morgan Swancy of Dallas, Texas. They reside in Rock Hill with their two dogs, Bocephus and Moose, and attend Westminster Presbyterian Church. In his free time, Mr. Swancy enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and cooking.
